Meet the team

Game Changers is delivered by NNL and a team of innovation consultants from FIS360. Our role is to guide challenge owners and programme applicants through the innovation process, maximising the commercial potential of technologies and the chance of full implementation on nuclear sites.

Our delivery team has expertise in engineering, science, project management, commercialisation, technology transfer, marketing and communication. We all share a passion for driving innovation in the nuclear sector.

Frank Allison, FIS360 Ltd

Frank is CEO of FIS360 Ltd and helped to establish Game Changers. He is responsible for overall leadership of the programme and is currently managing an expansion of Game Changers across the nuclear industry.

Frank has over 15 years of commercialisation experience including working in technology transfer at the University of Manchester and in Saudi Arabia, working with a team to establish and grow a technology transfer business unit and innovation investment fund. He brings a wealth of cross sector knowledge including technical experience from working in the steel, space and aerospace industries both in the UK and US. He also mentors early stage companies, sits on several innovation committees and has a real passion and enthusiasm to make a difference.

Paul Knight, NNL

Paul is Programme Lead for Game Changers on behalf of NNL, delivery partners working with FIS360 to deliver the initiative. He works alongside Frank to implement programme strategy and is responsible for financial management and reporting.

Paul’s career in the nuclear industry began at Dungeness, a power station where he worked as a plant chemist, later moving to Cumbria and BNFL Research & Technology. Paul’s current role is something he describes as the most interesting of his career. He enjoys working with a wide range of organisations, many from outside the nuclear sector, and helping to translate bright ideas into projects with real potential for deployment – not just at Sellafield, but across nuclear sites worldwide.

Stuart Brown, FIS360 Ltd

Stuart works across the Game Changers programme with challenge owners to develop challenges and manage feasibility and proof of concept projects. He also leads on the Game Changers Innovation Forum to bring together technologies and companies in the Game Changers portfolio with larger companies, other nuclear site operators, funders and investors.

Stuart is an experienced innovation consultant and senior manager helping innovative companies to develop and commercialise new ideas.
